How to: Change the build options in PowerPoint.
Solution:
From the 'Tools' menu select 'Animation Settings...' and select a build option or select 'Build Slide Text' from the 'Tools' menu.
Do one of the following, to change build options or build transition effects, which are controlled by animation settings.
1) Build slide objects:
NOTE: An object must be in edit mode to be able to select 'Animation Settings...' from the 'Tools' menu.
a) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Animation Settings...'. (The Animation Settings dialog box appears.)
b) Select a build option from the 'Build Options' drop-down list box.
c) Select the various effects from the 'Effects' drop-down list boxes.
d) Select when to build this object from the 'Build this object' drop-down list box.
e) Select an action for after building from the 'After Build Step' drop-down list box.
f) Click 'OK' after changes are made.
NOTE: Repeat Steps 1)a) through 1)f) for each slide object to build.
2) Build slide text:
a) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Build Slide Text'. (The Build Slide Text submenu appears.)
b) Select 'Other...' from the 'Build Slide Text' submenu. (The Animation Settings dialog box appears.)
c) Select a build option from the 'Build Options' drop-down list box.
d) Select the various effects from the 'Effects' drop-down list boxes.
e) Select when to build this object from the 'Build this object' drop-down list box.
f) Select an action for after building from the 'After Build Step' drop-down list box.
g) Click 'OK' after changes are made.
NOTE: To exit without saving changes, click 'Cancel'.
